Christian and Maria married in 1756 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They were the parents of; Joseph, Christian, Daniel, Susannah, John, Mary, Jacob, Elizabeth, Abraham, Anna, Magdalena, Benjamin.

Christian, with his parents, emigrated on 8 October 1737 to the Port of Philidelphia, Province of Pennsylvania in U. S. A. Recorded on the 1790 & 1800 census at Warwick Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Christian and Maria emigrated about 1806 to Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada.

Son of Christian ERB {born - 1703 in Switzerland Son of Nicholas ERB and Catherina}. and Maria WINGER. Christian and Maria married in 1725.

A project to replace the original gravestone, which was extremely difficult to decipher, was begun in 2010. The new gravestone contains the original wording, as close as possible, along with an English translation. The original wording wasn't in perfect German, so it was difficult to come up with an English translation which was perhaps 100% accurate however it should be reasonably close. It had been hoped the new gravestone would be erected in 2011 as engraved on the stone, however there were delays and the stone was actually in place in July 2012.
